once again,Preston has created a page turner--believable characters and a great plot......and you get to hear from "god"

Surprising

I actually really enjoyed this novel. Though I agree with some of the reviewers in thinking that the Christian mob scene was incredibly over the top, I think it was done that way intentionally. It adds an incredulous spin to the following events. I found it thought provoking and not at all what I was expecting, which I also enjoyed.

If you are looking for a book which ties society into technology this is a great fiction to read. The book has a fascinating basis, decent character development, and a surprising ending which will leave you thinking for days.

Scientific religion?

This book took some getting use to but once I caught on I thought it was really good reading. Its message was interesting and thought provoking. Douglas Preston is becoming one of my new literary heroes.
