An impressive and wonderfully entertaining collection

A Treasury Of Children's Songs: Forty Favorites To Sing And Play is an impressive and wonderfully entertaining collection of simple, classic musical favorites, written with sing-along notes, as well as a brief aside and features a beautiful and illustrative "museum quality" work of art next to each song. Tunes such as "Amazing Grace", "Eensy Weensy Spider", "She'll Be Comin' 'Round the Mountain" and more comprise this superb music-making repository which would make a welcome addition to family, school, and community library collections.

Great GIft for Kid and Parent

We love the pictures and the songs.

It includes a lot of songs my husband and I partially remember from our childhood. My daughter (3) enjoys having us share it with her.

The pictures do a good job of reflecting the song as well as exposing her to some beautiful artwork.

The music is simple enough that we can take it to the keyboard and play the tune.

A Treasury of Children's Songs: 40 Favorites to Sing and Play

I cannot review this product because I sent to someone else as a gift. To the best of my knowledge they have enjoyed it.

An updated version of a classic songbook, with art from the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of ArtIn this popular songbook, forty classic childhood songs are imaginatively illustrated with treasures from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Here are songs that young children can act out, such as "London Bridge," "Pop Goes the Weasel," and "The Mulberry Bush." There are also work songs, such as "I've Been Working on the Railroad"; ballads, like "Shenandoah"; and nursery songs, including "Oats, Peas, and Beans." The selections are drawn from popular traditions around the world; some have been enjoyed and sung for hundreds of years. Throughout the book are insightful comments on the art and the songs. All of the selections include simple arrangements for musical accompaniment.A Treasury of Children's Songs is an updated version of Go In and Out the Window, first published in 1987 and reprinted twelve times.
