Great Product! The best in the field.

This book contains all the essentials for any undergraduate in the field. It is organized in a logical manner, and provides a heap of challenging problems to reinforce the material.

4th edition and counting

I recommend this as the first optics book you ever read. Emphasis on conceptual understanding, carried by excellent and profuse illustrations and description, allow the reader a deeper understanding of what's going on; mathematical descriptions stay shallow.

Just as described, it has some wear-out on the binding, but the interior is good. Perfect price for a second-hand and still fair condition book.
by the way, Optics by Hecht is a great book for me! Very clear physical pictures and helps me lot on my PhD qualified exams!
