Great study guide to the Book of Acts. A must have for any aspiring ministers or pastors. Also a great book for personal study guide to the Book of Acts.

Too Brief

Polhill's commentary on Acts would be helpful to many students of the scripture. However, it tends to be very brief. Serious students might look elseware.

Polhill's commentary on Acts was a gold medalion nominee for the excellent commentary by Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. The author exhibits the rarity of combining academic clarity with practical applications for modern non-technical readers. The reliability of this book should be obvious by other excellent Acts commentators such as Fitzmyer and Whitherington who quote and rely on Polhill on a number of occasions. In my opinion, this book is the bestbuy of all Acts commentaries available in English language especially for preachers and teachers of the Bible.
