This is an excellent premarital counseling book. This is a great study for any couple who is looking to get married. This book makes you asks questions about how you would respond to circumstances you might think you would never be faced with. It will give you a good understanding of what a God centered marriage should be. The only down fall is that it doesn't speak specifically to couples who already live together or have children together. I deal with these matters as a bonus. I will continue to use this in my premarital counseling sessions.

Before You Marry . . .

. . . This resource is a great way to get you to really think about some things about life as husband and wife. It is a study guide with many discussion questions and opportunities for a couple to face issues that will need to be faced after marriage. As a minister, I use this book frequently in pre-marital counseling. I've found it best for both the future husband and the future wife to have their own copy of the book, privately work through a chapter at a time, then meet together to discuss their answers to the questions, and work through the issues raised. A great resource for those contemplating marriage!
