A Genuine Life Saver

The Sober Enterprise originally began as an advanced recovery plan I was writing for myself. After trying conventional means of treatment including rehabilitation centers, detox clinics, methadone, and various doctors, I found myself still slowly dying from a full blown heroin addiction. I had lost almost everything I loved and decided to give recovery one more try after realizing that death & prison were all that awaited me. I abandoned everything I had been told about addiction & recovery, and began an intense process of re-educating and reinventing my self. Along the way, I completely redefined addiction as essentially an identity crisis of immense proportions, discovered methods for reconnecting with one's own authentic conscience, and even realized the key to curing anyone of substance abuse through further development of recovery skills taken from various institutions accross the country and merging these with my own newly invented tools for permanently defeating any form of chemical dependency. Slowly but surely, a dazzling journey of self-discovery and a virtual textbook manual for understanding the cure to drug addiction emerged out of this personal recovery plan, one that placed great emphasis on self-reliance and making this lifelong cure customizable to anyone suffering from this horrible affliction. I can actually say with certainty that this book saved my life. Furthermore, I believe it has the potential to save many more lives as well as revolutionalize conventional methods for drug addiction treatment forever. For I now live comfortably & happily, free from drug addiction, without suffering any relapses or implulses to use, and without having to attend anonymous groups. I feel very lucky and grateful to be alive, and thank the Lord everyday for helping me write this powerful book.

THE SOBER ENTERPRISE IS UNIQUE!

WOW! What a book. As the parent of a 28 year who has been addicted for over 10 years this is the first book that really touched my mind and my heart. It not only describes what an addict does when addicted but how they may have gotten there. Then it goes on to teach an addict how to work their way out of the morass.
As a parent having attended Hazelden and many other rehabs family programs this book is certainly an adjunct to their modalities. It is a must read for all family members who are being affected by addiction of another family member. The sooner you read this book the better you will understand how an addict thinks and operates and it will enable you to not only cope with the problem but be armed with the hope and courage to do something positive for yourself and you addicted loved one!!! A life saving book!

Not only is this book totally original, thought provoking, and uniquely interactive, this book actually has the potential to save lives! Finally a book exists that's written for people struggling with addiction or alcoholism, who've been alienated from anonymous groups and are sick of going to rehabs. There are so many penetrating exercises throughout that by the end you not only know the author better than his own mother probably does, you know more about yourself than ever before. Brilliantly clear and deceptively simple, this book transcends the topic of sobriety altogether and ventures forth into the realm of humam potential. Two major thumbs up and 5 stars on top!

Very informative- could not set the book down

A real down to earth self help book.It's about an addict that has survived his drug addiction,in wishing to help other addicts get past the struggle of addiction. As not an addict myself,this book is very informative and a real eye opener! GREAT BOOK 5 STARS!!

The Sober Enterprise was written out of instinct to survive. Rehabs and anonymous groups failed. Countless physicians and mental health practitioners fluent in advanced treatments for addiction all failed Colin.

This project began as a controversial theory conceived in the mind of a dying heroin addict postulating a cure for any ''disease'' of dependency. The author suggests addiction is really a surrogate identity assuming control through habit. The only antidote promising lifelong sobriety is critical analysis and development of authentic personality.

Through radical revisions in belief, relationship overviews, and establishment of moral responsibilities, this book produces the most sober of perspectives.
