This book was given to me the day before I had a bi-lateral mastectomy. It is awesome and explains exactly how you feel. However, this book could be helpful when dealing with any loss....the loss of a loved one, any kind of cancer, a divorce, a troubled child. Please ADD this to your library. It's a short read, but one you'll pick up again and again. I bought many to give to friends.

This is awesome!

This book had just the right words, visual expressions that put my feelings out there for me. I didn't know anyone else felt the way I did until I read this book. I had several people to talk to that were going through it but Nicole Johnson put it in words so much better on page!

Great book!

This is a great book. It really tells how a breast cancer patient feels. But most importantly the end leaves the cancer survivor with hope. It is like a breast cancer support group in the form of a book. It is a short book but it packs a punch.

Simply perfect

Nicole Johnson truly describes the journey of breast cancer. The amazing part is that she has never been diagnosed. I read the book after having been diagnosed in 2005, and cried. My copy of this book is dog-eared from reading it and highlighting favorite quotes out of it. I have recommended this book to countless people who want to know what they "can do" after a friend of theirs has been diagnosed. This is the only breast cancer book I have found with ANY connection to Scripture.

I had the honor of meeting Nicole and was able to tell her this in person. She is just as wonderful of a person one-on-one as she is on a stage.

I FULLY recommend this book.

Stepping in the Ring is the 2002 Women of Faith drama sketch by Nicole Johnson, possibly her most powerful piece of writing to date. Women have always had a unique fellowship of suffering, Nicole says. Where is the woman old or young who will not shed a tear and silently scream in her heart as she walks in these pages through the diagnosis of breast cancer and the devastation that ensues?

While she focuses on the specific soul-chilling crisis, Nicole offers her readers broader insights for dealing with major losses of all kinds. She extends genuine hope and much-needed rays of light to those who are mired in hopelessness and despair. A must read for breast cancer patients and their loved ones.

This second book in the Faith/Hope/Love Trilogy by Nicole follows the format of Dropping Your Rockwith the poignant and artistic black and white photos.
