Counting is For the Birds
After sharing this book with 2 kindergarten classes I wish to contest other reviews by saying my students loved the simple, rhyming text. The format helped my students practice numerical order and rhyming while giving just enough factual information to hold their attention. They enjoyed the illustrations and could identify several of the
birds featured
.
Beautiful book
Whether your child is a bird lover or not, this is a terrific book. It not only educates about numbers (it's nice to find a
counting book
that goes past 10!) but teaches so much about our backyard friends as well. Be warned, however, that this book will likely make your child insist on getting a birdfeeder!

Striking digital paintings coupled with lighthearted verse and engaging facts make this the perfect book for bird lovers old and young. Readers count 20 colorful backyard
birds
as they gather at the feeder.
