I don't think it's true this book is unrealistic at all. Linda writes about trips to foreign countries where her family helped the people there. They also gave up their Christmas to be able to afford it one year. Her stories about the trips aren't to say that's what everyone needs to do. They are there to illustrate certain points. They are very inspiring.
I think it all comes down to what your perspective is. Those who read the book looking to be inspired and have a postive outlook, these moms will benefit. If you are looking for reasons to complain you will find fault in the book and look for ways to say why the information can't help you.
It's a wonderful book and I HIGHLY recommend it.
I loved the entire book. I kept reading parts aloud to my husband and he enjoyed it as well. I have already suggested this book to friends who have also enjoyed it and I will continue to suggest it. I found it very uplifting and motivational.
