An EXCELLENT book!!!!

This book was absolutly wonderful! I couldn't put it down! It's full of suspense and plenty of drama. It begins in the shopping mall of a small town. The character ( I can't remember her name) is in the mall window shopping. She's admiring a little girl and her grandmother when she suffers from an horrendous headache. She decides then to kill the girl and her grandmother, which she does in the mall. The next chapter begins with a different young lady who can't remember what happened the night before or who she is. She's also suffering from really bad headaches. All she could remember was a motel room where a dead man lies. Every time she loses her memory, a person dies and evidence of her being at the murder scene always appears. But she knows she didn't kill these people. She's helped by a former cop who falls in love with her and take drastic measures to protect her. This book enters the world of split personalities and mind control with an ending so shocking it's hard to believe!

I GIVE IT TWO THUMBS UP, WAY UP!!!!!

Way to weird????? Classic Gorman????

Another excellent Gorman novel, I love it when he gets
into these moods, he is, like Joe R. Lansdale, obscenely underrated
and writes such strange compelling stories. I'm glad I found this
talented multi-genre writer, look forward to more like this!

A gripping, psychological thriller in the best tradition of film-noir, this is the story of a rich but mentally and emotionally troubled young woman, who, in an evening she can't remember, may have stabbed a man to death. It's also the tale of the former cop--now a part-time cab driver/and would-be horror writer--who is determined to prove her innocent. But the truth which his investigation eventually reveals is so shocking that it will be almost impossible to prove. For the true criminal is someone she trusts implicitly, someone who is about to wreak the ultimate revenge--someone who has tampered not only with the truth but with his innocent victim's very mind.
