great

the book was great. I read abby malone before reading dancer but i understood them completly. the book was beyond great i loved how it wasnt just a horse book it had romance and action i cant wait to get stagestruck into read that book i think the review below mine doesnt get that it is supposed to be a book and that it wasnt based on a true story. but every one is entitled to there own opinions. this book it great i read it 3 times in a row and i still get surprised every one should read this book.

An Adventrous book for all!!

Danser was one of my favourite books of all time! It really focused on one determined girl and her horse. Shelley Peterson really put her heart into this book when she wrote Dancer because her choice of words are unbelievable. They way she puts suspence, excitment and breath-taking events into one paragraph is incredible. This book makes your heart pound and makes your eyes cry. It can be an emotional but exciting book at times. I reccomend this book to all people, it is truly a one of a kind book!!

Dancer ROX

dancer is the best book ever writen!!!! 'nuf said, but if you want to hare what it is about then I will tell you. It is bout a girl and her horse and how they over come all odds to come out on top. They face a neighbor trying to steal the horse, money probs and one high school prep but mousie and dancer beat all odds. Once again, Best book EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Boook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dancer is the greatest book I've ever read! It has mystery, excitement, and even a little romance! Mousie, the main character, gains more and more confidence because of Dancer her horse. It is a page-turning, never putting down sort of book. Awesome job Shelley!

Hilary James (`Mousie') is sixteen when she wins The Fuller Trophy jumping with her horse Dancer at the Royal Winter Fair. Her triumph is rewarded with an invitation to perform in England for Queen Elizabeth, but she has also attracted the unwanted attention of the evil Samuel Owens who plots to acquire Dancer for his niece, Sara.

Thwarted in his initial attempt to purchase the horse, Owens has his hired man, Chad Smith, try to steal it. Mousie has a dream in which a beautiful blond horsewoman warns her of impending danger. She wakes to discover Chad Smith, syringe in hand, in Dancer's stall. Chad Smith is killed in the ensuing scuffle and his employer comes under suspicion.

Dancer is flown to Highgrove, the country home of Prince Charles, and Mousie arrives with her mother Christine at `Clusters' - an English manor, once the home of Arabella, the second wife of the Duke of Dewbury, now both long dead. Mousie finds an antique lady's hunting whip which she feels certain must have belonged to Arabella, and later discovers a portrait of her riding side-saddle. It is the same woman who appeared in Mousie's dreams.
