Wonderfully easy to follow!

I have purchased many crochet pattern books that just got tossed to the side due to "hard to follow" instructions. This book, however, is so easy to follow, packed full of illustrations and great projects!

As a relativly unexperienced crocheter I have tried to crochet a shrug or sweater by many other patterns and was very unsuccessful, with this book, I crocheted a shrug in less than 4 hours and was able to do 4 in one weekend! I know this book will stay in my crochet bad at all times!

Excellent How To, and the patterns aren't bad either!

Generally I like a book like this to be filled with great patterns and understand when the instruction section leaves a little bit to be desired. I own many many knit and crochet books and never have I seen an instruction section quite like this one. It is exceptional to say the least. Now not everyone can look at an illustration and learn how to do a stitch, but if you can you are REALLY going to be in luck with this book. Not only is each stitch illustrated, but there is a also a REAL picture of the stitch complete with HOOK and YARN!!! If you have ever tried to follow along with a book of illustrated stitches where each stitch is perfectly drawn I am sure you will appreciate the fact that there is a photo of someone performing the stitch right next to the illustration (b/c real life doesn't always look quite so nice!).

The pattern section is also very up to date and not full of your granny's crocheted accessories. I was impressed with some of the cute sash type belts. There are also cute choker type necklaces, a bracelet of wire, pillows, shawls and ponchos, and of course there are some scarves, with one exceptionally cute one that is quite out of the ordinary!
