Air Gunner is a lighthearted, yet poignant story of one man and many of his colleagues who shared the honor and tragedies of wartime flying. There has been very little written about the experiences of an air gunner in the Royal Air Force during World War II, but this could easily be the story of thousands of young gunners many of whom never returned home to tell their tale.
