Magnifique!!!

This lady's incredible works of art are not only lifelike, but exude a lifelike quality all of their own. Surely no one would be surprised in the least if one of her dolls just started chatting away to you... That's how realistic they are. Spiritual, ethereal, exquisite and timeless.
This fabulous book leads you through the pages with oohs and aaahhs demanding you turn the page to view the next treasure. Upon reaching the end, it's a joy to go through it again and again to marvel and revisit each wondrous art form! A masterpiece of a masters works!! Truly magnificent!!

First and foremost a gallery-in-print, this book is an unprecedented exhibition of Ms Lichtenfels' work. Readers are invited to a personal tour with the artist through this exhibition, which features thirty-six of her most significant pieces in panorama, accompanied by her personal and technical notes on the creation of each of these sculptures. This astounding display is followed by Lichtenfel's photo essay, in which she demonstrates, step-by-step the process that brings into being one of her latest magnificent fabric figures. The book concludes with a twenty-year retrospective of her work, in which she shares the development of her technique from her earliest soft craft-like works through years of improvement and the creation of early significant pieces, concluding with her thoughts on future work.
