Cooking Good

I have Dianne's first cookbook, "Cooking and Gardening with Dianne," use it as a cooking "Bible" and have bought it for several friends. So, couldn't wait to purchase "Dianne II" and have already been pleased with all I have prepared: the Wassail, yes, the Wassail, was a big hit at a Winter Solstice party I threw in December ; her "Lemon Pie in the Sky" is so good my mouth waters just to think about it. Love her "Summertime Gumbo" made with Savoi's dry roux (no stirring an oil/flour roux in a black skillet for an hour, although this eliminates the need to drink wine while doing so!) For a gorgeous presentation and yummy taste, try her Pineapple Horseradish. Dianne is a delightful personality with a charming Southern accent - a favorite among us Louisiana folks. Anyway, this cookbook is now packed and ready to go to my summer home where I have big plans for its contents. Hope you enjoy as well.
