GREAT read!!!

I was never much of a DC fan outside of reading Batman, but a friend of mine pushed this one on me because he's an artist and he appreciates Alex Ross' style. To make a long story short, I read his copy, bought it, read it again, and then bought the other two trades.

Alex Ross does a great job with keeping the story in line, making surprises, and just making a great run for DC comics.

DC and Ross at their best

This series has both a great story and amazing art, which is sadly all too rare in comics these days (especially in the story department). Alex Ross and his co-plotters deliver a solid story pitting all of DC's major classic characters against some of their greatest enemies. Iconic characters like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Lex Luthor, the Joker, the Flash, Cheetah and several others are distilled to their escence and are each treated with love and respect by the creators. This is more than can be said for how DC treated it's characters in the main storylines at the time of this series release. Stories like Identity Crisis and the Omac Project signify how little DC cares about the intergrity of their heroes, making them thoroughly unlikeavle (especially Batman, who is depicted as the hero is suppossed to be here). The only downside of these hardcovers is the price for each volume, butthe softcover editions should be easier on your budget, and it is more than worth the price.

A thought-provoking story

The world is about to face it's fate--destruction, and the world's superheroes are powerless to stop it. Or that is what the world's supervillians believe. Mysteriously, the supervillians are all having the same dream--a world destroyed despite the efforts of the world's heroes. While supervillians have their own agenda, that usually doesn't include destroying the planet. What will they do in the face of this danger? That is the story that JUSTICE explores.

I really enjoyed the story and look forward to reading the next volume. It explores a twist that you wouldn't normally consider in the world of comics, and it is fascinating to see it unfold. As usual, Alex Ross' artwork is beautiful, and it's a joy to turn every page. I recommend this to all fans of the DC universe.

Amazing

Justice, Volume 1 is amazing. Groundbreaking. Creative. Impressive. Massive. Just incredible.

This began a 3 volume saga that includes pretty much all the major Justice League heroes. Also prominently included are the major Justice League villains! working together!! How amazing is that?? The art, writing, and coloring and scope of these books are superb. Can there be a fault to purchasing this? Perhaps the price? Perhaps the all-inclusive trade? Well, come what may,but all three volumes must be purchased to truly appreciate and enjoy this gift from DC and Ross. This is truly a pleasure to read and a pleasure to remember.

Highly recommended.

This is what makes a great story

This has to be one of the greatest stories I have read in awhile. It summarizes characters without all the geeky garbage that piles up and buries them over time. The story flows well and is actually a very interesting one too and its told well. I also like the fact that Aquaman gets some important attention too since people are so quick to under rate him, hes just got a lame costume thats all. I really dont want to go into alot of detail about the story because it should be read unspoiled for all to enjoy. I just wish they would have waited and put all three books out as 1.
