From The Heart

Robin Roberts is a remarkable and a courageous woman.
I can relate to her on "Faith, Family and Friends".
You can not live without them.

Roberts Keeps It Real

For years I've been a fan of Robin Roberts. In From the Heart, she openly shares her successes and roadblocks with the world. The conversational tone of the book is much like her easy-going conversations on Good Morning America. The seven steps are straightforward and simple to employ in your life - if you personalize it. The rules are common sense. For example, "position yourself to take the shot", make sure you take the steps to get the great job, nice house, or loving relationship. "Venture outside your comfort zone" - you must step outside the box at times to get to the next level. The stories, examples and open discussion will inspire, encourage and push you to try hard, do better, and make changes. I definitely recommend this book for those wanting to examine their heart and do what God intended you to do.

Very nice book

I bought several books to give to people who I thought would find inspiration in them. Everyone I gave a book to loved it. I recommend it to others.

Change the Way you Think to Change the Way you Feel!

We know and love Robin Roberts, co-anchor of Good Morning America. We rely on her every morning to wake us up gently with the news and entertain us through our second cup of coffee or we listen to her soothing voice as we franticly get the kids ready for school. As much as we feel that we know her, most viewers don't know that she grew up in the small town of Pass Christian, Mississippi, or that she had an illustrious career as a sportscaster prior to Good Morning America. In July, Resolutions For Women chose her book as our book club selection and enjoyed it.

In "From the Heart," Ms. Roberts offers readers several rules to live by; most noteworthy is her advice that one should dive back in if at first you don't succeed. She offers that most often the people who succeed are those who don't let setbacks and rejections stop them cold. Ms. Roberts also advises readers that success is measured by a life well lived. She illustrates her principles by detailing her efforts to excel as a sportscaster. Readers will also be treated to an emotionally uplifting and compelling story about the effects of Hurricane Katrina on her childhood home of Pass Christian.

Many of Ms. Robert's stories chronicle her rise to fame. If you are looking for professional inspiration, this is the book for you. One of my favorite quotes from the book is "You have to change the way you think in order to change the way your feel." After reading "From the Heart," you will definatley be inspired and may even feel great.

Inspirational

This book is a spark of love and compassion wrapped up in a smile that has won America's heart! Robin wrote this book prior to learning of her breast cancer. It is an awesome book and super easy to read. Hope she writes another about her latest chapter of life!

The first-ever book from popular and respected Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts, filled with her own hard-won insights into what makes success

While most people will say that the key to success is a willingness to break the rules, to think outside the box, to ignore boundaries, Robin Roberts -- whose own spectacular success as a college basketball star, ESPN commentator, and co-anchor on Good Morning America is undisputed -- is here to tell readers differently. In her considerable experience, there are seven rules whose importance cannot be ignored, and which must never be broken if true, meaningful success is the goal. In the tradition of bestsellers like Maria Shriver?s And One More Thing Before You Go, Anna Quindlen?s A Short Guide to a Happy Life, and Marlo Thomas? The Right Words at the Right Time, From the Heart is the perfect gift for new grads, and an inspiring read for anyone searching for the path to success.
