The heat was scorching!

One word, Kane. If you're not melting yet you will be. The man is so sensual and sexy! I like heroines who save themselves but with Kane saving Sherra you really don't mind. The language is sorching and dirty, it makes Kane seem very real yet I imagine if a person said some of that to me I'd smack them. If they looked like Kane maybe not. As a momma my heart went out to Sherra completely. I know how difficult it is to lose a baby who hasn't even been born yet. You never have the chance to hold that child and yet your arms ach in memory. For a very long time there is nothing but tears. Sherra manages to be both heronine and mother. But I really want to see a full Momma type in this series. Someone who is always open and vulnerable to everybody. Someone soft who smothers everybody with food and love weither they want it or not. I think the Breeds need a mother, especially the grown up ones. They shouldn't allow people to take their childhood from them, they should reclaim it. Sometimes being a kid has nothing to do with age and it'd be nice if they could be kids every now and then. Maybe a housekeeper with a couple of kids under her belt who knows her way around people like the back of her hand. It'd be a kick if she had a bit of a temper and a strong will and turned out to be Jonas's mate. Talk about polar opposites.

The third installment of the feline breed storyline is just as good as the rest and while it could stand alone as they say. Read the first two for real enjoyment. Hope to see more.

Sherra is a Breed, a product of a ruthless genetic experiment to build super soldiers by crossing humans with animals. She has fallen in love and mated with Kane Tyler, a human soldier working at the labs of the sadistic Genetics Council. Kiss of Heat, the third book in the Feline Breeds series, has been revised and expanded from the original 2004 release. While I loved the first edition, this updated version adds a new depth to the story. Ms. Leigh fixes timeline inconsistencies throughout the series and also provides glimpses into possible forthcoming Breed books. She made me love the strong and dominate Kane more than ever. In the first edition, it took me a while to sympathize with him. With this revised beginning, I saw behind the tough jokester and rooted for him from the start. Sherra has been through many terrible things, yet she is still a courageous and resilient woman. She just needs to find the strength to trust her
heart again. Together, Kane and Sherra are a combustible couple who must deal with conflict and intense emotion while danger from the outside world closes in on them. Kiss of Heat is a deliciously scorching adventure, the kind only Lora Leigh can create!
