Powerful Reading
Separated
by
Dreams
is unquestionably one of those books that stays with you and leaves you wanting more. The author eloquently portrays how our lives truly are entwined in more ways than we can even fathom. There are no coincidences and the power within us is limitless. If only we as human beings could see how simple life really can be. This is exactly what Guevara does. Her vivid depiction of her real life, riveting experience beautifully reveals the simplicity of life. This is a book that has a message that will reach all ages of readers from young adults to the most experienced. I think it is a must read.

The power of faith, hope and redemption
When the theft of her briefcase from a parked car causes her to lose something irreplaceable, San Diego businesswoman, Liz Guevara, is at first inconsolable. Then she starts to have
dreams about
the thief responsible, dreams so vivid they defy rational explanation. In these visions, Liz's senses are all engaged as she sees the young man in his wretched surroundings, hears the rap music playing the background, smells the stench of his squalid environment, and feels his drug-hazed despair. Even more strangely, she can sense his every thought. These visions threaten to overwhelm her, at first only in her sleep, but then also at odd hours of the day, and each time Liz is transported to the young addict's life and forced to experience what he experiences.
Soon she beings to realize that the young man's life is being transformed by virtue of the stolen object, a notebook filled with her written personal affirmations. More, he is beginning to transform the lives of others around him by teaching them the lessons he has himself learned from her writings.
Separated
by Dreams is a very personal story told by an author who has gone through life-transforming experiences by virtue of the power of affirmative writing. At a time when the popularity of self-help books is at an all-time high, it is perhaps surprising that affirmative writing has yet to achieve mainstream acceptance. As the author comments in a funny and telling passage in her e-book "How To Write Positive Sentences" (a free excerpt is available at http://www.booklocker.com/books/3229.html ): "...and that's when I began giving positive writing sessions to people. It was funny how it happened. I would help one person and then another person would come into my office, close the door and quietly say, "Don't tell anybody, but I would like to know if you could help me the way you helped the other person." Sure, I would say...but why are we whispering... I guess some people thought it was some type of woo woo thing...but it's just writing."
A story of the power of faith, hope and redemption, Separated by Dreams is written in clear, concise prose that enables a smooth, quick and easy read. This is a story that will appeal to those with an open mind and perhaps those of a more mystical bent, and especially people who are not afraid to try something different in order to bring about positive changes in their lives.

Life Changing Experience
This book brought me a life changing experience. I now have a greater appreciation of the power of the written word and belief in myself. It's a definately must read - better than any self-help book I've ever read. I'm going to buy it for my family and friends so that they too and receive the beautiful gift.

Dreams
is a True Story about a San Diego businesswoman who's life was entwined with a young man after a quick overnight business trip to San Antonio Texas. The young man breaks into a locked van containing three briefcases. He only takes her briefcase which is the only one NOT containing a laptop computer. Yet, what's in it's place is irriplaceable to her and immediately begins changing his life. This particular item brings them together and they begin knowing and understanding one another, but have yet to say or write one word to each other. This book is her way of reaching out to him, of letting him know that she is ready to meet him and hear his side of the story.
