Highly interesting book

This book is well written and highly interesting. It touched something I had not seen inside myself for a long time. It captured a sense of mystery for pristine waters that are life giving and can still be found if we take time to look inside at our deepest longings. The book reminded me that age is irrelevant for tapping into our own depth, and discovering our own mystery again.

The author's stories of the Hawaiian islands, the people - and perhaps most importantly - the ancestors that abide behind thin spiritual veils, can be ally's if we bring our respect and honor to the land. And to those ancestors who walked before us and keep a watchful eye on the mountains, jungle, and waves that beat the sandy shores of Hawaii.

What a pleasant surprise!

I saw this book listed but bypassed it thinking it was a gimmick. I first read other books on Ancient Hawaii on how the Hawaiian Islands, their ancient people and traditions came to be. But something made me return to A Call to the Soul and I feel fortunate that I listened to my Inner Voice. It contains a strong heartfelt love for the Big Island of Hawaii and is so jam packed with important historical information that pertains to the past and the future. I was amazed that so much could be in such a small book! Cock-a-doodle-do! (now you've got to read it to find out that hidden meaning!)
