Basics

This book is an excellent book for the basics of Dance Ministry. I used it as the required text book for a course I taught at a Christian college and the students were able to glean the important elements from the book. Some books are too ethereal or too detail orientated with a heavy weight of scriptures or dates. This is really a very balanced book. Dr. Aimee was one of the giants in the modern liturgical dance movement. Even though she is no longer alive, I think she really speaks into our time. A must have for all dance ministers and those who seek to not only dance with excellence, but also to be led by the Spirit of God.

This book is very helpful in understanding how dance can be used in worship. There is a lot of emphasis on when it is appropriate to use dance and also how to know when the Holy Spirit is directing you.

If you want to know how to operate in the Anointing, or if you need to know if you are called to the ministry of dance and you want to start a dance ministry at your church, this is the book to help you along.

a teaching must have

As I teach each new group of dancers this book is a required element in their studies along with their bibles. I have bought so many and have given them away that I am here to buy my own copy again. I say that I will keep this one only to know that the next group I meet or next dancer I come in contact with I will tell them about this wonderful book, and God will say go ahead and give them your copy. I only hope I can keep it long enough to read it again.
