Henry's Awful Mistake
This book was my son's favorite, 25 years ago. He had to find the "bug" on EVERY page! He will soon be a first-time father, and we wanted his child to have the very same book. I didn't know where to find it, after so many years. When I went to Amozon.com, I was so happy to find the exact same book! Thank you so much!
Henry Learns a Lesson
Henry
, who is a duck by the way, was cooking supper for his friend Clara when he saw an ant in the kitchen. He was worried Clara would think he didn't keep a clean house, so he grabbed for the ant spray. But wait! He couldn't spray so close to the food he was cooking, so he got a frying pan and chased the ant around the kitchen. But the ant hid behind the stove, so Henry shut off the flame and pulled it away from the wall. No way was that ant going to get away.
But the ant ran into a crack in the wall. Henry got a hammer and pounded a hole in the wall until the hole was huge, then he saw the ant sitting on a pipe in the wall. He tried to hit the ant with the hammer, but he missed, hit the pipe and broke it. Poor Henry. And there is much more
awful stuff
that's going to happen to him, all because of that ant. In the end Henry learns a lesson and so will your child as you read him this delightful story which is so superbly illustrated.

Childhood Favorite
Although many of the details of my childhood have grown cloudy, this book stands out...I am so glad they have decided to reprint for the anniversary edition because this is a book I would love to read to my own 4 year old! Poor
Henry
! Who hasn't been there...on a mission and just can't stop, even when the pursuit becomes an obsession! It's a fun read and obviously a very memorable story!
Poor Henry!
This was one of my favorite books as a child and now, at 25, my family and I still talk about it fairly often.
Henry's misfortune
is quite entertaining (though I doubt he would agree) and that ant just can't take a hint!
I've been saving this book all these years and I look forward to sharing it with my children someday.

A well-loved classic, generation to generation!
Henry
the Duck sure gets himself into some sticky situations! Just when he thinks dinner is almost ready, he spots an ant in the house.
Children and parents alike will love following disaster-prone Henry through his adventures in cooking, cleverly written and illustrated by Robert Quackenbush.
Don't forget to snatch up the other three books in the Henry the Duck Series: Henry's Important Date, Henry Goes West, and Henry Babysits.
