A Great Primer on the Doctrine of the Trinity

If you are beginning to explore the doctrine of the Trinity, this is a great starting point. Johnson draws together historical, biblical and personal insights into a wonderfully written, short book on the Trinity. It is a quick read and Johnson's passion for the triune God is contagious. This book has excited my desire to both experience the Trinity and continue with my theological pursuit of the doctrine.

Simple but deeply Profound!!

To dive into a topic as mysterious as the Trinity is no small matter. Johnson gives many foundational insights to build on. I highly recommend this user-friendly book!!

A gem

This book is awesome. If you have a hard time following in the beginning, just keep reading. By the time you get to the end, you will be glad you kept pushing through the book. I will read and re-read it; as a matter of fact, I loved it more the second time through.

With the increased interest in spirituality these days, many people are prepared to believe that Jesus was a good man who taught truths about God. Fewer, however, are convinced that Jesus was God. For many, the doctrine of the Trinity seems like an irrelevant philosophical idea far removed from ordinary life. In Experiencing the Trinity, Darrell Johnson shows the error of such thinking, describing how the doctrine of the Trinity came about, its biblical foundations, and why it is central to Christian belief and practice. According to Johnson, believing in the Triune God is not merely an intellectual exercise, but a way of life. Properly understood and experienced, the three-fold nature of God should affect how we pray, how we worship, and how we relate to one another in Christian community.
