The Knitting Answer Book

A very good book for beginners wanting to learn the ropes. I found this book to be very informative and use it often.

Perfect! It remembers, so I can relax and knit!

Just sit back and knit in confidence knowing that when you need to know how to do a particular technique it's in this little book waiting for you in clear diagrams and descriptions. Yes, I'm an intermediate knitter, but I still found it a wonderful resource for those things I just don't want to burden myself thinking about while I'm knitting...and watching tv, and seeing what my kids are up, to and talking on the phone. I love the small size to fit into my knitting bag and take along.

Oodles and oodles of help

I bought this book right after I learned to knit. Because I learned to knit on the internet, I didn't have an actual person to come to with my questions. This book has solved that problem completely. I read completely through the book, but didn't always understand the questions. However, after knitting for a while the questions become more understandable because I started to learn the knitting vernacular. I love having a question and being able to find the same question in the book and have the answer laid out plainly with good illustrations to supplement the answer. I also enjoy the small size of this book because it's really easy to throw into my knitting bag and go.

There is only one thing I would change about this book. In the abbreviation pages, I wish that it gave the page number where the technique was described. Although the book has an index where you can easily find the terms, I find that it's a hassle to decipher the abbreviation and then cross reference the index to find which page the instructions are on versus which pages just references the term.

But I would wholeheartedly advise any new knitter to pick this book as their reference guide. It has a wealth of information in it's small pages

Great Guide for Knitters

I find this little "pocket" guide very helpful. I have not been able to knit much, and when I do I sometimes forget a certain technique. I just flip through this book and pick up the skill in no time. I learned how to knit in the round from this book, and I find it's instruction easy to understand.

One of the Best Knitting Books Ever!

I love this book because it answers almost every question I've ever had about knitting. I taught myself to knit, and it has been an invaluable resource for me. I really appreciate that I have everything in one place. If I need to refresh on how to do a certain technique, all I have to do is pick up this little book, and it's all there. I also like the small size of the book. It makes a great "handbook" to take with you, and it doesn't take up much space.
