No matter what u need the book, the spiral is a little hard to flip back and forth.

Of course, as the book is a professional manual for those in the medical coding field, this is one of our "bibles" for what we do, so the content is created, collated and governed by several professional bodies. I was more than please with the ease of ordering and the timeliness of its arrival. I recommend Amazon.com to anyone seeking professional (and other) materials.

Excellent resource

This version of the ICD-9 CM is very good because codes that are not at the full level of specificity have a notation to check the 4th or 5th digit. Additional color coding quickly identifies the NOS and exclusions. These notations have saved me loads of time and minimized rejections by the clearinghouse and insurance payors. AMA members can get a discount through the AMA web site.
