Success Is Not Measured by Titles or Bank Accounts
I thoroughly enjoyed this book because the characters are so believable. Working in the executive level I have certainly encountered some of these unsavory characters throughout my career. The internal struggle between success and happiness that Rose Marie Weaver goes through during the book is one that has happened to many of us. It was enjoyable to read because it reminded me that simple pleasures have a far greater value than material ones. Once I started reading it was hard to put down until I finished. That, for me, is the sign that the book was wonderful. Readers who are just starting out in the corporate world could certainly learn some valuable lessons from this book. Also, the author incorporates poetry into the storyline which made me stop, on several occasions, to reflect on my own life's journey.

Buckner's First - Should Not Be His Last!!
"
Whispered
Angel
" certainly kept my interest and even choked me up on page 170. My finishing it was never in doubt.
You Can Buy A Lifestyle But Not a Life
Ross Buckner has taken "everyday" happenings and written a beautiful story that shows fear, pain, happiness, lonliness and triumph. Rose Marie Weaver is a young career woman whose main goal is to be the best in her field. You will live Rose Marie's life, and you will feel the growth in her character. Her father once tells her "never to forget a company is not a thing, but people and relationships." Hard decisions and choices will come her way, and you will see her mature as those choices are made. You will meet Steve Forrest, a very talented man with all he ever wanted, a career, a beautiful wife and adorable young girl named Amber. Steve's triumph over the brutal slaying of his wife and being a single parent will cause many to pause and thank God they have never had to accept the challenges he has faced. The introduction of Rose Marie and Steve is done by the author when each are individually going through the grief and anguish of losing someone they have loved. Rose Marie will have to find herself before she can trust her heart, and Steve, who sees a future with Rose Marie as a true possibility, will learn our futures are not always in our hands.
Whispered
Angel will
make you realize that many times life really isn't far. You will also feel, well maybe sometimes God really does have a plan. I look forward to Ross Buckner's next book.

Steve Forrest is a widower trying to rebuild life around his young daughter and his music. Solace is hard to find and when the emptiness is too great, he relents to his attraction for Rose Marie Weaver, who has recently come to Whaler?s Cove carrying the burdens of her own tragedy. The only companionship she seeks is found in her heartache. Terrified to love again, she flees Steve?s small town overtures for the gold of the corporate fast track, where she finds comfort and security in her success and the promise of a boundless career. Having served the corporate cause with valor, greater power and glory will be hers if she just goes along. How hard could that be? Yet, a familiar voice sings from the recesses of her soul ? ?What will you pay??
Whispered

the heart and intellect in a tale of tenderness and wickedness that tests the strength of family, friendship and love in a crucible of executive immorality, domestic violence and cruel circumstance until redemption and justice come calling.
