Well done overview of the subjective levels of reality.

This is the first in the Seth series of dictated books. It is very comprehensive. Information that is not given the same way in other metaphysical disciplines. Each book in the series builds on what was given previously.

Very enlightening.

Almost finished reading it. This is the first Seth book I have read
since I decided to start leading a more spiritual life.

Content dense but deeply powerful... not casual reading but very enlightening

A journey into the inner world unlike no other. Seth, an entity who spoke through Jane Roberts, takes his readers on the wildest ride imaginable.

From death, to the nature of dreams, to the far-reaching potentials of one's soul, he doesn't leave even one stone unturned. Not for those with rigid belief structures; only the open-minded should invest in this one.

Since it's extremely dense with information, I do not recommend reading this one before bedtime unless you want to fall into dreamland.

Good reading

This is a very good book, but it is difficult to read and digest. It has taken me a long time to get very far in the book. This is not one you can read through and get the gist of it. You must read and re-read to absorb the content.

A good read!

This is a comment on Seth Speaks, not a book review. Although I am a writer I am not trained nor practiced as a book reviewer.

First, Seth has nothing to do with Christianity or religion. Essentially it is channeled material equal to any other channeled material the source of which is unknown. Mozart channeled all of this music and some scholars of Shakespeare who are also grounded in metaphysics believe that his works from the great plays to the sonnets much have been channeled. The author Taylor Caldwell stated several times that her book, "Dear and Glorious Physician" had been channeled. Reading it one could guess that it was so because of the amazing periodic description. All of Edgar Cayce's readings while in trance were channeled and with the overwhelming number of readings not only proving to be accurate but helped heal some terrible diseases in people from all walks of life including the blindness of his son Hugh Lynn.

True channeled material can often be termed as irrefutable for its special nature. Secondly, Seth Speaks is not "New Age." The term is now used in general for what was once The Occult is a faint nomenclature invented by some happy editor somewhere. There is also nothing "new" about the material in Seth Speaks except that it has been couched in modern, scientific or near scientific vernacular.

The book, which I read in 1973, presents in some detail what is none other than the I Am concept that predates Moses (in Exodus where it is also presented) and can be found in the timeless Vedas which are the heart of Hinduism and thousands of years old, so old no one has yet placed a date on them. There, we find great Mahabharata, the Ramayana, the Sutras, and the Puranas.

The fact that the I Am is central to Seth Speaks is thereby posited as truth. If one wishes to call it religion, one can do so. Seth, the speaker, channeled by Jane Roberts chose rather to use scientific idiom as opposed to religious, Bible-speak or for example, the English used in A Course in Miracles (also the I Am) that is similar to The King James version of the Bible.

All that said this is a good read for anyone interested in existence. It is not so much for the uncanny revelations about existence as a life and behavioral altering work about an old concept that is also truth, a truth that was in need of a brushing off to modern technical English. The central message, "You create your own reality" is of course also not new since it is implicit in the I Am. However, those believing that this is a simple truth are wrong. It is complex and only through years of study beyond the presentation given by Seth can it be fully understood and perhaps put to use on the conscious level.

One of the most powerful of the Seth Books, this essential guide to conscious living clearly and powerfully articulates the furthest reaches of human potential, and the concept that we all create our own reality according to our individual beliefs. Having withstood the test of time, it is still considered one of the most dynamic and brilliant maps of inner reality available today.
