A Nice Book About Henry Ranger

This book, although not great, is a nice book about Henry Ranger. The book is relatively small, 8" x 10", and has only about 60 pages if you exclude index and bibliography. However, it gives a reasonable amount of background about the artist. The book has few pictures, about 20 pictures of Ranger's paintings and a few more of other artists, but they are well reproduced such that you can see the techiques used by Ranger. In conclusion, I am a classical oil painter and I benefit from this book as an artist. One final note, keep in mind that the book is small so are the pictures; most of them are about 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" or smaller.

Beautifully produced with full-color reproductions, Henry Ward Ranger: Modulator Of Harmonious Color is a superb and very welcome addition to all art school, university and public library art history collections.
