Must read for all ages

What a joy to read! The characters are very well drawn and the descriptives really make the book come alive. The many layers of the story appeal to young and old alike. Everyone can identify with the insecurities of Skinny Girl, and the quilt will make you laugh out loud. I can't wait for more from this talented duo.

Skinny Girl Stew rocks my world!

WOW!! This book is something every young girl should own! I love her amazing adventures and views on the world! My absolute favorite charater was Skiiny Gril herself! I can't wait to read more of Skinny Girl's adventures!!

Spell-binding

"Skinny Girl Stew" entertains and satisfies the 'believing-child' in readers of all ages. This book is well written with characters that snag at your heart and keep you reading, page after page, to the end. My Grandson is eagerly awaiting his turn. I recommend this book to all those who are young or 'young-at-heart' looking for a captivating modern fairy tale.
Congratulations to a fellow PA author....

Skinny Girl

I'm glad that my Mom wrote this book. She wrote it when I was little, and now she's finally getting it published. It turned out to be a really good book. My favorite charactors are Madalian and the quilt. Mainly the quilt, he was the funniest. My favorite part is when the Giant is telling the story about the dragons, and the quilt is sobbing over Skinny Girls' shoulder. Love, Skinny Girl jr.

Great book for children

Every child should read this book. Children love "make believe" and dreams about things that only a child can understand. The author, Pinkie Arnot, and her mother Ann Thompson have hit the nail on the head with this book!!

I believe every school library should have a couple copies of this book for their young readers pleasure! Can't wait for Pinkie's next book.

reviews: page 1, 2

A vividly depicted, modern-day fairy tale. The heroine?s escapade is textured with real imaginings and experiences of a true-life skinny girl, bringing to life the quest to save dragonkind from extinction. Woven into the narrative is enriching detail, colorfully embossed upon an already prismatic fable. This plot, detail, and richness of description is written so the reader visualizes an animated movie screen performance, as they are drawn into Skinny Girl?s adventures. Vocabulary is not minced. Children deserve to learn and utilize a valuable lexicon outside the classroom. A great nation was assuredly influenced by the results of quality reading during a time when there was no such thing as video games and television to compete. Skinny Girl Stew provides an opportunity to easily comprehend the concept of larger words, based on well-built sentence context.
