For the busy scrapbooker

I love being crafty, and I envy those that have the time to do fru-fru scrapbooks, but I am not one of those people. I struggled with my desire to scrapbook, but my inability to carve out time to do scrapbooks that were full of embellishments, ribbons, buttons, etc. This book really gave me a foundation to see that you can have wonderful scrapbooks that capture the cute and precious memories, without having to do all that extra stuff. A great find, and I recommend any of her books. I now have scrapbooks that I am proud of, that I didn't spend hours upon hours of my time on, and that I enjoyed making!

AMAZING is right

The style of Cathy Zielske (and Simple Scrapbooks) is exactly what I had been looking for. I love the concept of simple pages with clean lines that highlight the photo and its story and not an overuse of embelishments that distract.

a Must have for your scrapbooking library!

Absolutely love this book - it's my "go to" book anytime I need a little inspiration. Cathy Z.'s clean lines, strong detail and catchy titles drive home the important points of good page design. I've got both books and am hoping that she'll do yet another! I'm not kidding, this is a must have for your library - you won't be disappointed.

Eye Candy

Just received this book (gift to self!) and can't put it down. Love the notion of scrapping moments not so much events. If you do not want to use a computer, probably not a good use of your time and money. If you love fonts, clean lines, eye-pleasing design and a focus on the moment - on the picture and story - this is for you. One complaint - wish the binding was spiral to lay flat. Also thought fantastic (and liberating) her message of scrapbooking only those photos that truly speak to you, and putting the rest in a photo album - now, that's a true time saver. More closely akin to works of art not page after page of stickers and die cuts and loads of pictures. My background - I've done 25+ albums and was a CM consultant, but have been out of the loop for almost 5 years - this book inspires me more than anything in the past.

Beautiful, useful

This was the first scrapbook idea book I read, and it has influenced me greatly. It's definitely worth the money. I turn to it again and again. For ideas, scraplifting, or just to admire all the beautiful layouts. I find new details every time I read it.

I like how she explains things. She writes very well, and it's easy to understand. I think my scrapbook pages have developed so much since buying this book.

This is _not_ the book for scrapbookers who like to put lots of stuff on their layouts, but it's definitely for those who think "less is more", and are looking for a way to apply this to their scrapbooks. If you're looking for a book to teach you graphic design for scrapbookers, or just want to admire her pages, this is the book for you. I can't recommend it enough.

And while you're at it, buy her other book too, or you'll just have to come back to amazon for it later... Enjoy!
