Funny as Hell. The kinda comic I wanna DO!
I picked up
Sharknife
on a whim unsure of whether I wanted to drop ten bucks for it or not....but I decided to go for it after I read a few pages and laughed outright! Corey's artwork is also very alive and fluid, and it embodies everything I had hoped to achieve with my own style (mixing manga, graf, and action). The characters in shark are hilarious, and one feels as if they're watching an anime while reading the book. It's a short read, but trust me, if it doesn't earn it's $10 price tag with cool points alone, then nothing will. It's the Pulp Fiction of manga esque titles! I'm really glad I picked this one up. If you've ever seen FLCL and like the art of the Gorillaz, give shark knife a try. I cant wait till

2 comes out, it's made a fan out of me. Hell, I'm even downloading the songs from Guan Gong's jukebox!. Why September?

All style, no substance
If all you want out of a comic is 200 pages of fight scenes, then by all means pick up this book. The artwork is fantastic, but I also like having a bit of story to back up good artwork.

Good!
I really enjoyed reading this because it was fun and fresh. The book is very well drawn and I enjoy the changes of style throughout the story. But sometimes I found myself getting lost in what is actually going on in an image. The one part that seems to fall short is the dialogue. At times it is funny, at other times it seems to be too immature or annoying. But overall, I would buy again!

PA told me to read it
I heard about this comic after reading a blog post on penny-arcade (a famous webcomic on the net), I was surprised and entertained by the pages and pages of unnarrated fresh style. It's a fight comic and you'll find pages and pages of just action from time to time.
I don't read many comics but I would read many comics like this. I'm eagerly awaiting vol 2. Amazon has it listed with a date but no preorder button.
Crazy Stuff
One of the best comics I have read in a while, original, hipp and fresh, even more fun to read when you're wasted.
The Guandong Factory isn't like other restaurants. It's five stories tall, produces more peach dumplings per day than most eateries do in a decade, and it's the home of
Sharknife
- a mystical protector charged with protecting the establishment from those who would do it harm! But who is this mysterious yet colorful being? Once just a simple busboy, now Caesar Ives is something more - a crazy red rocket hero destined for greatness! But can Caesar juggle both lives - nabbing the girl (the super-sexy Chieko Plumbheart) and stopping the wide assortment of bizarre baddies that would love to do his precious eatery harm?
