I found this book to be even more than I expected out of it, being a comic and all.

Jumpscars

Before you go or even if you did see the movie Jumper, read this little book as it gives some insight to the movie. The book was in the condition that was stated and came on time.

It's a comic book

I so much enjoyed reading Jumper, Reflex and Jumper: Griffin's Story, that I thought that Jumpscars would be another interesting read even tho not written by Steven Gould. Lo and behold, this prequel turned out to be an illustrated book; in other words, a comic book. Disappointing, but the redeeming value of the book is that the illustrations happen to be very good. That almost makes up for the somewhat simplistic story line.

The comic book did give me an insight into the minds of the Paladins, who show up in the movie but not in the original book. So if you have not seen the movie, read this prequel.

Jump Scars are odd

This is another prequel to the Jumper movie, this time exploring the motivations of the bad guy and someone important to the main cast. This definitely contains a spoiler for the last scene of the movie. Still it is very good and expands the characters in ways not possible in the movie theater.

For centuries Jumpers have lived among us - special individuals with the ability to teleport or "jump" nearly anywhere in the world. For almost as long, the Paladins, a secret and powerful order, have protected us from these dangerous and unpredictable individuals, sacrificing everything to keep humanity safe!
