Classical Reference for IC/Semiconductor Product/Test Eng.

As an IC Product/Test Engineer,my feeling is that this is the best(maybe the only one) classical reference book for IC/Semiconductor Product/Test Engineer.


Great CMOS Textbook - exceptionally well written

This is an excellent textbook on CMOS. It is very well written and the ideas are presented so logically that they are very easy to understand. The process and design sections are based on real 0.25 micron processes which are very much relevant to anyone working with semiconductors in 2001. The book covers a wide range of subjects, each very clearly. Other textbooks may cover one or more aspects in much greater detail but this one distills the information for you and puts the entire subject of CMOS into better perspective. The books topics are... 1. Basic Principles - mos theory, enhancement, depletion, linear and saturation region, back gate bias, body effect, models 2. Physical and Geometrical effects...short channel, hot carrier, channel length modulation... 3. Manufacturing of MOS devices, lithography, implant, retrograde well formation, shallow trench isolation, drain extension CMP planarization, backend metal, ARC, damascene metal(copper) 4. CMOS Circuits, AC and DC behavior, static and dynamic circuits, Layout and design rules (0.25 micron) 5. Special circuits, CCD, Power, BiCMOS, 6. Nowadays, CMOS technologies account for almost 90% of all integrated circuits (ICs). This book provides an essential introduction to CMOS ICs. The contents of this book are based upon a previous publication, entitled MOS ICs, which was published in Dutch and English by Delta Press (Amerongen, The Netherlands, 1990) and VCH (Weinheim, Germany, 1992), respectively.
