Creator's Code

I always like Ed McGaa's books. This one is next on my list to read. The delivery service from Amazon was terrific.

He is welcoming to all that will listen and work for the Web of Life. Also, like any warrior, he does not bite his lip in speaking the truth about those who seek to destroy all life. He is sending a voice to all people from the four colors of the rainbow to assist the Native People in this great effort to realize the Creator's Natural Way. Just as Black Elk envisioned the Rainbow Tribe would come up the Red Road to hear and do, so we are--with a strong voice of Eagle Man to help guide us. I highly recommend of all his books to anyone who understands what time it really is.

Spirit stuff OK but...

I enjoyed the view of Native American spirituality portrayed in this book but if you have read his other books there's not much new.

One thing I didn't care for was his portrayal of View Nam protestors as being college kids who were not eligible for the draft and at the end of the Wall section a protester crying how she was wrong. A lot of protestors were combat veterans who saw combat a lot more up close and personal than a fighter pilot did. I came back and joined the movement in 1968. That took more courage than going to Viet Nam did. I risked my career in the service, prison and beatings to do so as did all of us that were still in the military when we protested.

I can't recommend a spiritually that seems to say honor the warrior no matter what. I respect that the things that the kids in Irag are going through are hard and they are treated worse than we were but too unconditionally honor them for going to war, I don't think so.

I'll stick to European paganism thank you.
