Good heat

It's hard to get good chile in stores--WAY too mild. These guys, though!
I ordered twice by mistake, thought 'so what!' and expected 2 shipments. Nice guy called and asked if I would like 1 shipment for half the postage.
And when it came, OH BOY! This is excellent stuff!

4 Oz. Bag. The most commonly used chile in Mexico, the ancho is in fact a dried poblano chile. With a mild to medium heat, they are dark mahogany, with an orange-red cordovan tint when held up to the light. The ancho is the sweetest of the dried chiles. This dark ancho powder has a mild fruit flavor with tones of coffee, liquorice, tobacco, dried plum, and raisin, with a little woodiness.
