This Perfect Beaker says it all!

We've have this beaker for at least 10 years or longer and we're extremely pleased with it! We have had no problems at all putting this into the microwave and heating liquid up. It's taken it's spills and drops without any damage at all.

It does have that anoying little problem of the bottom filling up with water when it comes out of the dishwasher...but I think that reviewer that drilled a small hole up toward the small end of the bottom so that any water could drain out has a great idea. I'm going to get right on that. Since we purchased this our pyrex measuring cups have sat unused in the cupboard.

Maybe one made of glass would be nice in some instances, but this is a great "Perfect Beaker". And it's light and easy to handle so for anyone that has any problem lifting heavier items (my mother-in-law) this is great and it cleans up wonderfully.

I love this measuring cup I like that it has a lid so you can make dressings and things like that. I love that it has Cups, Oz, Tbsp etc., I use it all the time.

Perfect pour

I've had one of these for over 10 years; and not too long ago it got a thin stress crack in it. Not bad at all for all the bounces and crashes in the sink and dishwasher. The lip around the edge does make for perfect pouring; I've never had a drip come down the side, regardless of whether I am measuring oil, eggs, milk, or water. The wide variety of scales (ounces, cups, metric, etc) and a variety of fractions for cups, comes in quite handy. And the markings are just as visible after 10 years, unlike Tupperware measuring pitchers. I tried the tip that Aaron Contorer suggested to drill some small holes in the base to let dishwasher water out from the base and that solved my only complaint!

Love this thing

I love this thing. Has every measurement I ever need. Sure, it would be nice if it was better material than plastic, but then that would drive up the price. For the money, its excellent. I would prefer it with a small pouring spout on the lip, but then the lid would not work. I never use the lid since I always use what I measure right when I measure it.

Love it!

I just purchased a 2nd beaker for my mother's birthday. It's become one of the most useful things in our kitchen. Alton's book -- where we found it -- is also great.
