BUY THIS MOVIE!!

There are so many good and funny things about this movie!! I've watched it several times after purchase, many time with a bottle of wine, friends and some good chocolate.

The characters are enjoyable. This is one role that i thought colin Firth would never do, and after watching it, no one else could have done it better than Colin. A brit coming to America after a break up to a town called Hope. The things that Heather's character makes him do, its just to funny to put in words and would actually ruin the movie, which i wont do. Minnie Driver! Bloody Brillant as always!! Long live the queen of Hope Springs....

The towns people of Hope Springs grows on you too. The couple that owns the store, the elderly at the nursing home, and not to mention the owners of the motel colin stays at.

Vermont moustache ride

At first I was sure Mary Steenburgen had designs on Colin Firth since she was married to Frank Collison whom she said had a face that looked like road kill and why would you want to paint his portrait. Then Heather Graham comes on the seen and gets drunk and naked. I wasn't sure if she was a lesbian (Gray Matters, etc) or just a damn good thespian that could go either way. But, since she's prancing around naked and ostensibly seduces Colin and he dumps the intriguingly sexy Minnie Driver to stay with her I'm convinced she is indeed a lesbian because she never once lays lips on Colin. Yet, she can suck the tongue out of a girl. I think a better plot would've been if Heather and Minnie hit it off and Colin ended up with Mary. Enjoy!

This is a nice Movie especially anything with Colin Firth I will buy.
Damn thing is Maine needs to smarten up about Filming Companies coming into Maine sooooooooooo Filmers go to Vancouver and the movie Hope Springs was supposed to be about him going to a New England Town, say Maine.
Loved the Colin Firth Movie and lots of other Women do toooooooo
