Old School Revamped!

I remembered the first time I played pokemon. It was Fire Red, and I loved it. I mean who wouldn't. It was a pretty new concept, the main character goes around collecting cool monsters to train and fight in competition. I even remember crying after I had lost against the Elite Four for the first time. But that's all in the past. The new version of Fire Red is pretty much the same as its old counter part except that it's in color and has more added stuff to it. I also liked the way the game has a flash back diary of sorts about what you've done in the previous save. So if your a fan of old Pokemon, then this game is for you!

A Tradition Revived!

I wasn't suprised to be a perfect revision of the classic game that we know had horrible colors, horrible sound bytes, and horrible x99 MasterBall Missingno trick (well that wasn't all that bad).

But those horrible things were the only things we had in that game back then and we loved it like that. But I like how Nintendo went with today's times and did the graphics, sound, sadly no missingno (or is there).

I love it. It's today's kids experience of what we experienced when we were kids. Perfect! 5 out of 5!

according to my son

We bought this last Christmas for our 10 year old. He's a big Pokemon fan and now has all four of the GBA Pokemon games he'd wanted. He has a bunch of other GBA games but always chooses one of these Pokemon ones. He also said he likes to connect with friends and they can share/trade Pokemon that way with these games.

Pokemon Fire Red Version

My other grandson loves to spend some time playing games on his GBA. So, he is always excited when he gets a new one. He is always adding more cartridges to his collection ever so often. He even likes to buy them for himself when he goes shopping with his mom or me. But he gets so frustrated when he does not win any battle or games.

Pokemon Fire Red lets you return to the world of Kanto originally explored in Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, where the adventure is brought tolife better than ever with dazzling GBA graphics and dozens of surprising new features. As other wireless Trainers come within reach of your adapter's range, you'll be able to communicate and play games together. As players leave your range, they'll vanish from your wireless network.
