This Office Fits Me

I haven't gone through the entire Office yet, but what I have I do like and enjoy. This Office isn't intimidating like the others that even sound hard. It's simple and don't worry about whether you're following a ribbon of instruction correctly that you're exhausted by the time you start on your project. I especially like the Notebook where you can create a journal for yourself and write ANYTHING you want to. You can drag your journal to wherever you're working and place impromptu thoughts, quick notes, and comments. All this is taken care of for you so that when you log on again everything will be there. A great organizer for whatever topics important to you.

cumbersome and buggy

The completely redesigned layout of commands and menus is awkward and confusing and requires quite a bit of re-learning. The .doc extension has changed to .docx, and the Home & Student edition has a nasty bug that permanently changes the spellchecker in Outlook XP to French. The only fix offered by Microsoft is a recommendation that you upgrade from XP to Vista. Happy computing!
