Kids and adults enjoy this

This is a delightful book for young children, and adults enjoy it too,
for its quiet humor, funny illustrations and gentle message. A great
read-aloud book - children try to anticipate what is going to happen, and
get a kick out of the increasing number of visitors as well as the
resolution.

WONDERFUL READ ALOUD BOOK FOR THE CLASS

This is a great little book and an absolute joy to read. I have found that this one is ideal to read aloud to the class. The story is funny and the illustrations are bright and eye catching. This is a story of a rabbit who likes to read and read alone but us then joined by a frog who likes to listen and then by another and another and another......ergo, too many frogs. The kids get a kick out of the book (I have to admit I do too). I have noted this one is also quite frequently picked by the kids to read by themselves. Highly recommend this one for your reading library.

Son liked the book, knew it from school

When I got this book my son who is 6 and in kindergarten was excited about the book. He said they had read it at school. He told me the story before I read it to him which is good because some books he doesn't remember. Its cute, simple and he can read some but not all of it. Its got a nice message about friends.

Froggie is a Ribbiting Success

This book is very cute and my child has loved since she got it when she was 2. We originally picked it up at the library and just had to have it. It's fun to come up with some cute voices to read along. Over a year later, and we are still reading the story.

Frogs are fun for bedtime stories

My 5-year old and 4-year old boys really like frogs. This is our second frog book for our bedtime reading collection. Our first book was "The Icky Sticky Frog" by John Lescroart (see my reviews) which I bought along with two "Frog Zoo Light Carabiner with Sound" (available here on Amazon).

We've enjoyed "The Icky Sticky Frog" for months now, so when I found "Too Many Frogs" I thought it would be a nice addition. It has been a great addition.

"Too Many Frogs" is a deeper story, focusing on Rabbit and his structured lifestyle that is disrupted by a visiting frog. I really appreciated the fact that the story reinforces the value of reading and sharing. "The Icky Sticky Frog" is a great picture book that introduces lyrical rhymes for young children. "Too Many Frogs" is better for older children starting to read.

By the way, the carabiner lights are great for bedtime reading. You pull back the frog's head and they croak and shine a light from their mouth.

Rabbit lives alone. He cooks for himself, cleans up for himself, and at the end of the day, reads himself a story. It's a simple life, and he likes it. But one evening, Froggie shows up at his door. He wants to listen to Rabbit's story, too. While eating a snack-or three. While lounging on a pillow-or ten. And bringing over his family-dozens and dozens of frogs! Rabbit has finally had enough; Froggie will have to go! But when he sits down alone to read himself a story, Rabbit realizes something is missing: someone to listen; someone to share a wonderful story.
Keith Graves' boisterous, humor-filled artwork lends just the right touch to this multilayered tale that celebrates the joy of reading aloud.
