DART TORT #13

Now that I'm fully retired, I have decided to read more. My wife introduced me to Diane Mott Davidson's Culinary Detective, Goldy. I'm Hooked. In fact, Goldy should be a movie series. Hello - Hollywood & Hallmark. Now about Goldy discovers her young neighbor's body at the law firm where the girl worked. Even though she is shocked and grieving Goldy must still cater parties and events. You'll enjoy Goldy's mind process information while she cooking up a storm. P.S. Where ever I read about Goldy - I'm always hungry!

Goldie is great

Noone can beat Diane Mott Davidson and her culinary mysteries. Just when you think Goldy is going to settle in to being a caterer, something else happens to turn her, once again, into a cunning sleuth. This one grabs you right from the first page. Imagine finding one of your best friends murdered. It may not be unusual for Goldy but will it ever stop?

Delicious!

Dark Tort

As usual, oustanding. Goldy does it again. Another dead body, another mystery to solved. Who did it? I love how she gets involved and I love how it is all centered around food and kept clean and fun. Since I am from Colorado, it is easy for me to picture and her descriptions are outstanding! Your mouth waters the WHOLE time and your stomach will grumble wishing you were there tasting every dish!

The mystery had me the whole time, one minute thinking it was Louise, the next maybe it was Vic. Who knew? I sure didn't!! I really hate knowing within the first 45 pages. Def a novel of suspense, but fun suspense. I love the relationship between Goldy and her husband Tom as well. I remember when it was between her and the Jerk. These books just keep gettitng better and better! Can't ask for more. Can't wait to try the recipes too. Thanks Ms Davidson!

"

The New York Times bestselling author cooks up a knockout treat featuring the irrepres-sible caterer Goldy Schulz

""I tripped over the body of
Dusty Routt at half past ten on the
night of October 19. . . .""

Goldy Schulz has a lucrative new gig, preparing breakfasts and conference-room snacks for a local law firm. It's time-consuming, but Goldy is enjoying it -- until the night she arrives to find Dusty, the firm's paralegal, dead.

The poor young woman also happened to be Goldy's friend and neighbor, and now Dusty's grieving mother begs Goldy to find out who murdered her daughter. Just because the police are on the case doesn't mean Goldy can't do a little snooping herself.

While catering a party at the home of one of the firm's lawyers, she manages to overhear an incriminating conversation and ends up discover-ing a few clues in the kitchen.

Before long, Goldy is knee-deep in suspects, one of whom is incredibly dangerous and very liable to cook Goldy's goose.
