A Serial Hero

A twisted soul, a childhood witness to a yet unspoken tragedy. Dexter's step father, a Miami beat cop with astute character perception recognizes something isn't quite right with the new addition to his family. Something he's seen many, many times before on the job.

But father knows best, grooming Dexter in the ways and means to satisfy his hunger- but only on those that deserve it. And methods to avoid detection, avoiding capture, to continue doing his good works.

Dexter works for the Miami Police, in the crime lab. In the entire department of detectives, only one has even a hint of what lies beneath the surface of the quiet lab tech.

Brilliant plot, appropriately dark, and full of twisted humor as well- if you can find a copy, grab it. Very worthwhile and entertaining. But some of the events and imagary are definietly not for the squeamish.
