Breaking the hold of lie based thinking

Theophostic Ministry is an essential resource for anyone doing counseling from a Christian perspective. Notable for its emphasis on allowing Christ to break the lies that we believe about ourselves, our past, and our futures, this book is a welcome departure from 'victim' mentality self help books. While not as complete as the full video series combined with the basic seminar manual, it does give you the basics into how Theophostic ministry works and how to apply it to yourself and your ministry.

One of the things I appreciate most about Ed M. Smith is his keen mind and ability to articulate his arguments using Biblical truth. He is an analytical thinker, and as such his books and other materials have a intellectual rigor that is far too uncommon in counseling. Cognitive but also deeply compassionate, Theophostic Pray gets the difference between sympathy and compassion and practices the latter. By allowing Christ to speak truth and compassion into memories hearts are set free, lives changed, and the healed begin to step into their destinies.

HEALING LIFE'S HURTS THROUGH THEOPHOSTIC PRAYER is an excellent introduction to Theophostic prayer ministry, and a great resource for any minister, counselor, or those seeking freedom from their past.

If you have tried to live a good Christian life yet have been to or have seriously thought of going to counseling--but nothing seems to "stick", this book is for you! When I read it I felt a new excitement that through Christ there is truly hope. I was shown a direction in which to go to receive that experience with Jesus I had hoped for. Dr Ed Smith has written a book and also has the resources available that will help anyone who is ready and willing to be honest with God and themselves to receive complete healing from our "Great Physician" and only true Counselor.

Life-Changing Resource!

God used this book to change my life! I didn't want to read any more books dealing with emotional pain because none of the materials I had read had really helped me, but this book did! I read the original Healing Life's Deepest Hurts title, and I would recommend this book or the original title second to the Bible! My husband gave me a copy when we were dating, and in the past 3 1/2 years, I have received so much healing from God emotionally! I never understood why I overreacted emotionally in various situations until I read this book. I would recommend it to anyone with "impossible" problems. God can heal you, and this book explains how to receive His healing touch!
