Scion Resurrection

Jachin makes this book worthwhile. He is a vampire with all the super abilities we have come to expect in our vampire hero's. He keeps every scene action packed and he is so hot in his protection of Ariel that you won't be able to resist falling for him yourself. He wants so bad to save his race that he intends to give Ariel to their leader Braeden to fullfill the prophesy while denying taking Ariel for himself.
As they fight to reach the vampire castle he must resist his feeling for Ariel to be true to his race. It doesn't get boring and you will find that you can't put it down until the end.

Scions

Ariel Swanson never meant the book she wrote to be more than an exercise in overcoming her fear of vampires. However, now she finds herself in the midst of protests for and against her book and a media frenzy because of it. The most unexpected result is Ariel coming to the attention of vampires - vampires that the entire world believes extinct and who now are pursuing Ariel to violent results. But when Ariel is kidnapped by Jachin, a "rogue" vampire, things get even more complicated as Ariel becomes a pawn of the power plays of the vampire community and in relation to a prophecy of dubious validity.

Jachin Black has survived the last ten years as a rogue by not even considering the alternative and becoming a proficient killer for hire. But when Jachin accidentally comes across Ariel Swanson's book. he believes that he has found the answer to the prophecy that he has hung all his hopes on - the prophecy that speaks of a brighter future for the vampire community. When Jachin kidnaps Ariel, they are constantly pursued and attacked by other members of the paranormal community trying to prevent Jachin and Ariel from reaching their goal. Will Jachin be able to fulfill the prophecy or will they be stopped before they even try?

Resurrection is a vampire romance that starts off with a blast and continues with non-stop action until the exciting finale. The storyline is an interesting take on the vampire myth and how they relate to the "normal" world. Ariel makes an interesting heroine as she is reluctant to become part of anything involving vampires due to traumatic experiences in her past. However, while her change of heart is touching and expected, it occurs so quickly that you can almost miss it if you are not paying attention. Jachin is a hard man due to circumstance - not preference, but when he was exiled from his home he is forced to do many things to survive. As Jachin and Ariel come together, they will heat you up with their undeniable passion and leave you wanting for more even if the dialogue is a little silly at times. Resurrection is an entertaining read that will keep you on the edge of your seat with the non-stop action.

Jachin and Ariel

There is a prophecy that is said can save the dying race of vampires (who were supposed to have been extinct years ago) and Jachin is determined to see the prophecy carried out. After Jachin was banished from his vampire clan 10 years ago he has been constantly on the move looking for clues that can help point him to the prophecy, but he is at a great disadvantage. The vampires are dying because several years ago the humans blood became poisonous to the vampire, so all Jachin can rely on is synthesized blood from a scientist which is not as powerful as human blood.
He hears on tv of an author who has written a book about vampires still in existence. Finding this interesting Jachin downloads the book and is stunned to discover that this author has written about the very prophecy he has been searching for. Seeing this author as the key to the prophecy he goes in search of the one human who may save his race.
As Ariel is leaving the interview about her new book on vampires she is attacked from several different directions. As she is starting to realize she may not survive a cloaked figure appears, throws her over his shoulder and carries her out of danger. As Jachin leaps buildings, with Ariel on his shoulder, to get out of danger Ariel realizes he must be a vampire because no human could leap 2 stories without some serious bodily damage. She is absolutely terrified, knowing that vampires killed her entire family years ago, that he is going to kill her.
As they run for their lives (against government agents determined to kill the last remaining vampires, werewolves determined that the vampire clan will not increase and rival vampires who want to fulfill the prophecy themselves) they become attracted to each other and lust begins to run rampid thru their bodies. Jachin is torn apart at the feelings Ariel pulls out of him, because if Ariel is the key to the prophecy then according to the prophecy Ariel must mate with the leader of the vampires...and that leader is not Jachin.
Will Jachin be able to resist his body's demand to make Ariel his mate, even to save his entire species? Will Jachin be able to hand Ariel over to the leader of the vampires? How will Ariel react when she realizes Jachin fully intends to give her over to the vampire leader? Read this book and see how this all comes about.

I have not been impressed with the Silhouette Nocturne books in the past, but this book has raised their standards. It was fast-paced, action-packed and an original story that I found enthralling with believable characters. Jachin and Ariel steamed up the pages on their journey and the secondary characters blended well together. I recommend this book and I will be checking out more books from this author.

Kudos Silhouette Nocturne, you have done well with this book.

Action Packed Romance

If you like your romance with a lot of action, like I do, you'll enjoy this offering by Patrice Michelle. Jachin Black is hot hot hot! Exactly the kind of vampire I'd like to meet in a dark alley.

A hot & sexy new series

Ariel Swanson's entire family was slaughtered by Vampires and in an attempt to conquer her fears she wrote a novel about Vampires. A book that brought her to the attention of the very creatures she so feared and hated.

Scions Resurrection is book one of a hot & sexy new paranormal series by Patrice Michelle. This story takes place in a world much like our own, but much darker. In this reality vampires were created by humans in an attempt to create a superior race. And then later destroyed when the experiment failed, or so they thought...

I found Scions Resurrection to be a thoroughly enjoyable read, the action is intense and at times almost non-stop. The world building is masterfully done and the chemistry between the two main characters is so beautifully written. Jachin Black portrays the perfect alpha male who unwillingly finds himself drawn to the beautiful and feisty Ariel even though he despises humans as weak and pathetic creatures. And spunky Ariel Swanson is the perfect heroine, who finds the courage to face her fears and in the process finds a lasting love.

reviews: page 1, 2, 3

Everyone believed vampires were extinct. Everyone was wrong. When Ariel Swanson wrote a novel about vampires, she hoped it would exorcise her fear of the creatures that had, not so long ago, terrorized the human population. Instead, it brought her to their attention. And to the attention of Jachin Black--a man banished from the Saguinas, a vampire pack, and forced to hunt among the despised humans. For he clung to the prophecy given years ago, of a better way for his kind to live--a prophecy Ariel unknowingly used as the basis of her novel. Ariel hates and fears vampires. Jachin despises humanity. But the prophecy--and passion--binds them in ways they could never have imagined. Ways that may heal the past, and change the future....
