100% satisfied with Klean Kanteen products

I bought two of these bottles to replace my plastic (toxic) bottles. They work perfectly and the water tastes so much better (no nalgene after taste). You might taste a slight metallic taste for the first bottle, but after that there is no after taste. The seals work very well on the bottle caps (both steel and plastic caps). The flip top design doesn't work so well since with a plastic bottle you can squeeze the air to make the water come out the sippy spout. Since you can't squeeze a metal bottle it is harder to get a sip out. I would recommend using the screw on caps. The hook on the cap is helpful for camping, I clip it to my pack. It is also cheaper to order the plastic cap and then buy the steel cap separately from another vendor. The bottles are also very light weight.

Good for biking

I specifically bought the 27oz KK bottle to use when I cycle. I was so sick of the plastic-tasting water on long rides out in the sun, and I'm sure drinking enough of it would make me sick!

I researched different brands, and I specifically bought the KK bottle with the sports cap because it has a diameter that fits into standard bicycle water bottle cages. I have not been disappointed!

Great reusable bottle

I bought this bottle for 4 members of my family. They are all very happy with it... they've broken the plastic water bottle habit and bring the Klean Kanteen with them everywhere. I have a Sigg myself, which is great, but next time I need a water bottle, I'd buy a Klean Kanteen since it's made from stainless steel (and nothing else -- Sigg is lined with some undisclosed material).

The Klean Kanteen also has a wide mouth which makes it easy to put ice in it.

Perfect for kids too

My wife and I had tested larger Klean Kanteen water bottles, and found them perfect for commuting, car travel, biking, and really, everything. They fit bike racks and cup holders perfectly.

I got one 12 oz for each of the kids, and they love them! Water is more fun out of their own water bottle, especially for my two-yr old.

The caps shouldn't be machine washed, and the cap retainers might interfere with the dishwasher spray arm if they are on the lower shelf and dangle.

We avoid potential polyethylene terephthalate (#1 PETE)leeching issue that all bottled waters are subject to (possible when left in heat, in the car, in the sun on the loading dock, etc), and avoid adding so many of them to the solid waste stream. Since PETE is also made from petroleum, we lower our oil usage just a little bit more.

Of course, since the water you drink in these bottles is only as good as the water you put in... We have an undersink filter, but a faucet-mounted or pitcher-type filter would work too.
