Excellent Soundtrack For An Excellent Movie!

Most definately a finely-crafted soundtrack; Hanz Zimmer delivers yet again. The music covers so much... exciting suspense, then dark and secretive. Some of it is a bit odd, but most of the soundtrack fits perfectly with the theme of the movie.

Just like the movie,"an intense, disturbing masterpiece"

This soundtrack is incredible, one of the best I`ve ever heard.
Moving pieces like "Harvey Two-Face", "Like A Dog Chasing Cars", "Introduce A Little Anarchy" and "A Dark Knight" are among my favorites in this soundtrack.
The journey it takes you from heroic, action tunes such as the track "Like a Dog Chasing Cars" to dark, creepy and disturbing pieces like
"Why So Serious?" and "Watch The World Burn."
Overall, this soundtrack has the right mix of everything, action, creepy and moody pieces, and heroic and tragic pieces.
This soundtrack also has several pieces that have simple, yet beautiful piano pieces in tracks like "Harvey Two-Face" and "Agent of Chaos"
In conclusion I loved this soundtrack overall and I am an avid musician, loving everything from hard rock to instrumental.

The Dark Knight - movie soundtrack

I purchased this cd for my 28 year old son, who remarked that he thought the music was very dynamic. He reports that the cd is everything he could ask for and more. I recommend this cd to all Dark Knight fans and, having heard it myself, to those of us who appreciate good music, well played and well produced. Jonathan O'Mara, Whitby, Canada

Amazing Soundtrack

I believe it has already been summed up well by other positive reviews from others much more knowledgeable about music than myself. It is an amazing album and amplifies Dark Knight's greatness. Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard have complemented the movie masterpiece with a musical masterpiece.

The Nights of Darkness

The collaboration between James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer captures the shadows and the perilous no man's land between good and evil of the outstanding movie.

The longest selections - Why So Serious?, 9:14, A Dark Knight, 16:15 - stand triumphantly alone, as the listener does not need a scene or story line to appreciate them. Why So Serious? has an electronic soundscape that revolves around the evil and brooding Joker, but has an artistic elegance which reaches out and takes hold in a subtle manner. The remaining numbers are solid, but are better heard within the context of the film.

This is one of several editions of the soundtrack, with a limited edition CD, digital download, CD digi-pack and LP currently available and a 2-CD special edition coming soon.
