An advantage for me...

I know that all of the other reviewers for this backpack were really really really unhappy with it because it lacks the space for a laptop. Perhaps that's why amazon has dropped the price so much?

Well, I took advantage of that and just bought two of these for my 3 and 4th graders for school. They arrived a few days ago and they LOVE it! They take their backpacks everwhere--pool, library, Grandma's house... There is room for all their school stuff and lots of little compartments for everything else including two side mesh pockets for water bottles. The zippers are what I'm so pleased about because the things just do not stick no matter how hard you try (this was one of the problems with my kids' previous "cheap" backpacks)--very sturdy!

The other reviewers are right--not enough room for laptop and everything else but if you're looking for a backpack for someone who doesn't need to put a laptop in there, this is really a fabulous backpack. And I've been doing some price comparing for a SwissGear backpack and really--you just can't beat this price anywhere.

This was a little smaller than i expected. it fit my laptop and that's it. it's really a media bag. you can't really put much else. it's very durable, but a little small i think.

Good backpack for school, not for laptop

I bought this for my son to use as a school backpack and we're very satisfied with the construction, looks and durability. It has a few compartments for different supplies, a sturdy handle if you don't want to wear it on the back and comfortable on the back.
