Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned 5-Quart Dutch Oven with Loop Handles 81 reviews

Fantastic Pot This 3 quart chicken fryer is the addition I was wanting for my cookware. My larger dutch oven is great for larger uses, but this one is great for things that accomodate my husband and I. I roasted, at 325 degrees, yellow squash, cut into chunks, today and it was fantastic.
I cannot praise Lodge cast iron enough for the quality in their products. My next and 4th purchase will be the 10 1/4" ...

Stays hot, uses less charcoal, great product. This is a great product! We purchased this grill approximately 6 weeks ago and have used it at least twice a week since then. We have owned gas and charcoal grills, both small and large, and this is the best grill I have ever used.
Advantages:
-cast iron retains the heat longer than other charcoal grills
-uses less charcoal than full-size charcoal grills (especially for small meals)

Great bacon and sandwich press! Thanks must be given to reviewer Barefoot Okie in FL for the great ideas for using this trivet. I found it also makes a good bacon press...in fact you can use this puppy for just about anything that needs some weight attached to it! Not to mention, it makes a great rack for cooking meat loaf on...only the fat falls thru...I've used other meat racks and on loose meat loaf mixes, found a lot of the ...

Is it okay to be obsessed with my iron skillet? This is my very first cast iron anything, and I love it so much. I wasn't raised on cast iron, so I had to do some research to know how to care for the skillet (for the novice like me, can I recommend the book, "Cast Iron Cooking for Dummies"?). Anyway, I am obsessed with cooking with this, b/c I now know that the more I cook with it, the better it will get. I want to cook/bake everything on ...

Satisfied Great pan. So pleased with it I bought 2. It's pre-seasoned, but not that well, so you're going to want to cook down some bacon fat or something fatty soon after puchasing. Both of mine are nicely seasoned now, nothing sticks and I get a nice even distribution of heat when cooking on the stove, and works well in the oven too.

the miracle griddle I purchased the pre-seasoned Lodge griddle because I have recently converted to a vegetarian diet and wanted the iron that is diffused in to the food from cast iron. To my amazement this griddle does everything. It makes great pancakes, eggs, pizza, and it does a wonderful job baking my sons breaded chicken in the oven. I have been making pizza from scratch for over 15 years and cast iron is ...

Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Straight-sided Muffin/Cornbread Pan 15 reviews

Lodge, 2004
Makes better muffins! I bought one of these to try out (I've been cooking more with cast iron cookware - Lodge Logic.) After making a half-recipe of blueberry muffins, I went ahead and ordered a second one so I'd be able to make a dozen at a time. You need to heat the pan along with the oven, but it makes a muffin with a better-textured outer surface than the regular muffin pans I had been using. The size of the ...

Good set of pans We have been very happy with these pans. I really appreciate Lodge's preseasoning. We don't typically use the two pans together (I have a glass lid from another set of pans that fits on top of these that I use instead), but it's been great to have the two different sizes of pans.

Love it I love the look and the quality of this little pot. It's perfect size for many uses. Beside melting butter and reheat left over food, I also cook my oatmeal breadfast (1 cup of milk /or water, 1/3 cup of oatmeal and 1 tablespoon of brown suger)and it's wonderful everytime. Super easy to clean. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Makes excellent cornbread, well worth it if you love cornbread Makes great, crispy cornbread (both Southern and northern styles). Wedges are very easy to remove and are a nice size. Lodge pre-seasoning is good.
Only problem, as noted by others, is that one typical recipe will fill the wedge pan about 1.5 times. I have found this to be a relatively small problem -- I just remove the cooked wedges, put the pan back in the oven for a couple of minutes, then ...

Heuck Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron 3-Piece Skillet Set 6 reviews

Heuck, 2008
New family heirloom I bought this 3-pack iron skillet set at a discount store years ago for $15 after my sister had gone on about how great her new cast iron pan was. Curious, I thought "they're so cheap, why not try?" At the time I had many really fancy non-stick pans, anodized aluminum pans, stainless steel pans; you name it. Well, I still have those pans, but now they sit in the cupboard while the cast iron pans ...

The completion of my cast iron conversion This pan arrived several weeks ago and, though I instantly appreciated the high quality of the casting and the convenient and versatile size, I've waited until now to review it to see how it really fit into my kitchen. It now seems it may supersede its sleek black big brother, the Lodge 12" skillet and lid, as my most frequently used cooking vessel. My only disappointment with it is that it lacks ...

Quite possibly the greatest value in cookware EVER Let me open by saying that the negative reviews on this pan were, in my opinion, written by people who aren't quite sure how to use it. It's really pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Just try the following:
1) Put the pan on a large burner.
2) Coat it lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
3) Turn the burner on somewhere between medium to medium-high.
4) Once the pan is hot, put in ...

Classic Dutch Oven We have lots of cast and this is one of my favorites. I have to say that when I purchased this, I really wanted the one with just the loop handles but this one was cheaper at the time. Boy, am I glad that I got the one with the wire handle. It is one of my favorite features. Cast can be really heavy, especially when full with a pot of food and this handle is so nice just to grab out of the oven. ...
