Love it!!
Very conveniently a 16 oz Aquafina water is perfect to fill the pot. It brews great very hot strong coffee and I like that the stainless is more durable than glass. It's easy to clean and it has the 1 hr auto shutoff feature my work requires. It also has a heavy duty power cord and is just made very well.

I followed the directions for the ice cream maker and for the recipe for vanilla ice cream, and in 20 minutes I had delicious ice cream.
The recipe did say to let ice cream freeze for 12 to 15 minutes. Then if it isn't thick enough, let run until it is. It actually took 20 minutes. But the ice cream was thick and delicious. We ate the whole 1 1/2 quarts.

great fun
I love this. I control the ingredients. I control the amount of sugar. it is easy to use, cleans up fast and the kids enjoy helping make ice cream. at the end of the day nothing is more fun then watching a 17 month old feed herself ice cream with two spoons with the "help" of the two five years olds. had to mop the kitchen, but it is well worth it.

Cuisinart Nylon Fork is Nearly a Spoon
I purchased two of these and wish I had kept the paperwork to return them. This fork has such wide tines that it looks like a spoon from the side. The tines aren't narrow enough at the end to pierce or pickup anything except maybe a large cut of meat. I guess that explains why Amazon is trying to get rid of them. Go to the dollar store where they have real forks.

I bought this ice cream maker as a 2nd unit - I also have the GC8191. I read so many reviews that claimed the product didn't work at all - I have no idea what the users were doing wrong - but it was pretty clear to me.
I followed the instructions regarding how long to freeze the bowl - common sense dictates that you have to freeze the bowl first...how else would it work? I froze mine for 24 ...
