Motor Trend is a rather good, well written car magazine for auto enthusiasts. The articles are timely and full of facts and opinions about cars, new hybrids and the like. The quality of the paper is quite good and the print is always easy to read as well.

I first picked up an issue of R&T at the news stand when I was in the sixth grade. I was always into models, Lego's, drafting and other technical hobbies and the detail sheet in R&T's reviews fascinated me with all the stats and the cutaway drawing of the vehicle- it still looks very similar today, thirteen years later due to the great layout.

Good stock truck magazine
This is a good stock truck magazine. I have no interest in modifying a truck. I wanted a magazine that covered only trucks from the factory. I just wish it was more than 6 issues a year. This truck magazine gives me the scoop on what I need to know (ex. Jeep Gladiator truck). I also got this magazine for my father-in-law.

I hate to say it...
...But I prefer Popular Hot Rodding to Hot Rod. PHR covers classic and muscle cars with more depth, while doing a decent job of staying away from Hondas and Acuras with those big dumb exhaust pipes. As a truly awful mechanic, I find PHR to be more sympathetic to amateurs and dreamers.
